  3. They must excel in their respected industry knowledge, being able to complete difficult tasks through their knowledge and experience.
  4. They must show stability in the industry, with many years in business, demonstrating their ability to honor warranties, etc.
  5. They must have active owners and/or operators dedicated to servicing their customers, and providing a high quality service.
  6. They must maintain a respectable reputation among their customers, peers, and other qualified companies.
  7. They must maintain the proper licenses and insurance requirements as required for their industry.

Companies who have met the quality standards of the Select Services Directory’s research team for customer satisfaction, after a job has been completed, and have therefore been invited to participate, have accepted the invitation to participate, and have agreed to maintain these high quality standards for work and product quality, customer service, and ethical business practices.

Who you WILL NOT find in this directory:

Any companies that have not met the quality standards of the Select Services Directory’s research team for customer satisfaction after a job has been completed. We will not list any company with limited or no historical data, new companies, or companies without proven track records. There are likely many other companies, not included in this directory, who are also capable of performing high quality services, and who may or may not meet the required expectations of the Select Services Directory’s research team, but are not included for some other reason including: they may not have showed up on our ‘radar’ as we performed our research, or they may have simply chosen not to participate in the Select Services Directory’s research based directory.

About Contractors’ ‘Personally delivered references’:

You will notice that we generally do not recommend checking contractors ‘personally delivered references’ as a primary source for research. So many contractors will maintain a few regular customers or family members who will regularly be used as references. Such references will not accurately indicate the typical work ethic, work quality, materials, cleanliness, professionalism, and general customer satisfaction associated with a given contractor.

The best way to accurately gather information for any given contractor is through private or anonymous customer interviews and feedback by homeowners after work has been completed by a company. This is the service that the Select Services Directory’s research team strives to perform for you, and we hope that you will find this directory a useful tool when selecting a home service company.
